The Talasoterapia Canarias centre at Gloria Palace Amadores Thalasso & Hotel was opened in 2003 in conjunction with the hotel. The approximately 1.800m2, entirely given over to health, include a dynamic pool, gym pool and the “Get in Shape” pool, 
which consists of a relaxing circuit in seawater heated to different temperatures (33ºC/37ºC), with 29 hydromassage points. The centre is located in the main building of the hotel and has spectacular sea views from the Get in Shape pool and the relaxation 
area. Two thirds of the thalassotherapy facilities in the island of Gran Canaria are located here and at the Talasoterapia Canarias centre at its sister hotel, Gloria Palace San Agustin Thalasso & Hotel.The treatments provided at the centre are for rheumatic 
conditions, post-traumatic disorders, stress-related problems such as nervous fatigue, anxiety and weight loss, as well as cellulite. In addition to the large “Get in Shape” pool – one of the centre’s main attractions - Talasoterapia Canarias San 
Agustín is equipped with a sauna, a large gym with modern therapeutic and sports facilities, a beauty salon, 35 cubicles for individual treatments and large relaxation areas.
The approximately 2.000 m² of the 
centre are primarily divided into two zones: one for communal use and one for individual treatments. The communal zone includes the “Get in Shape” pool containing 326 m³ of seawater, with a variety of hydrotherapy points such as swimming against the current, 
seats and loungers with micro-bubbles, water jets for shoulders, thighs, abdomen, legs and soles of the feet, swan-neck water jets and cascades and seats with micro-bubbles. Two other, smaller pools are located next to the Get in Shape pool. One has a 
temperature of 16ºC and the other 37ºC, as a contrast to the temperature of 33ºC in the Get in Shape pool. There is also a pool for aqua gym, given by an instructor. All of this area is in an 
outstanding location with views directly over the sea.
